I was inpsired by Steph's post today about her "real" reality.
It's no secret that I don't sugar coat my life.
I don't always like to come on here and complain.
That's why you won't see an update for week.
I may be having a sh*t week.
Like these past few days....sh*t.
They've been few and far between though.
Especially after finally getting pregnant, all the stupid b.s. seems to mean nothing to me now.
But there are days where I've just had enough.
Here's my real reality this very week.
1. I was lied to by 2 coworkers and that infuriated me because there was no reason for it. I tossed and turned all night thinking about this incident. They were covering their ass for a mistake and tried to pin it on me when I was out of the office. Go figure.
2. I'm not a clean person and often avoid having last minute company.
3. I worry about our finances and wonder if we can afford for me to go part-time after the baby is born. I really don't want to go back to my job at all.
4. I can hold a grudge like nobody's business. I'm trying to change this.
5. There is a lot of work that needs to be done on our home. It constantly gets put off.
6. I love the kinship I share with my 3 1/2 year old niece. I hope that our friendship grows as she gets older.
7. I often have grand ideas but lack the motivation and confidence to go through with them.
8. Some mornings I wake up and wish I were in a different city.
9. Most mornings I wake up and love living in Anchorage. The sweet smell of birch trees and dew on the grass is comforting and reminds me that this is home.
10. I love my husband and we are with each other a lot. But I'm a fan of alone time which are nights when he goes to his friends house to play Modern Warfare.
11. I eat a lot of junk food, candy especially.
12. I rely heavily on spellcheck.
Tina, I think you are awesome!!
xo
p.s. I should have put the spell check on my list too lol!

It's great to know that I'm not the only one who has crap days and that life isn't always perfect. :0)

i love this, Tina. Did you hear my "amen" from way up (and over) here in Iowa.

I identify with so many of these points. Keep on keeping it real. :o)
P.S. - I'm a new reader of your blog and didn't realize you're from Anchorage. I grew up there. Fun!

Love this post... and I've always loved the fact that you write about a nonperfect life. =D

While we're at it....being pregnant isn't all it's cracked up to be. As thrilled as I may be I'm about done with the vomiting. I too do not want to go back to work but know that we can't afford it. I too want to do a lot more scrapbooking, beautiful home decor, and perfect baby preparation but why oh why can't I get off the couch?? I too have eaten way to much junk food since finding out about this pregnancy. I fear the scale at the MD's office big time....Peace out may the force be with you it is after all the weekend.

You've inspired me to make a similar list.
Except. . . # 7 really applies to me. So, I'm not sure when I'll get to it.
:)

Read steph and kp's blog regarding this topic. I think that being real on your blog/s and with your work, it should not always be happy and perfect. Glad to see this topic is coming to the surface more. Totally agree with #1,2,3,4,7,8,10,11. Great list...even if it's the truth!!

OMG, is it me or ARE YOU IN MY HEAD? I love the way you tell it like it is. I feel this way but don't say anything. Things are going to change!!!! Thank you!

You rock so hard. And I love this post. I should probably write one of my own.

I loved this post too. Aren't nieces the best? I have a niece too, and she's about the same age as yours.
One of the things that is really lovely about your blog is that because you don't try to sugarcoat everything, I think your happiness and joy shine even brighter. Congratulations on your pregnancy--I was elated by your announcement. Take good care of yourself and your bump :-) You inspire me.
